MUTUAL EXCHANGE GUIDE

There are often residents who are looking to do a mutual exchange to downsize or up size but want to remain in D’Eynsford Estate. If you would like to advertise below please contact our office (email/phone/visit). It is free to advertise. Please note that we can only provide information about mutual exchange. It is Southwark Council who process the applications.

If you want to swap your home, permission will not be unreasonably withheld. Some conditions must usually be satisfied before permission will be granted and some of these are as follows:

We do not approve exchanges where one tenant will have an extra bedroom or the household will be overcrowded (e.g. lacking a bedroom)
Your home must be of a fit standard to live in, with any damage repaired
You must not be in any rent arrears so if you are, this must be cleared.

Please note that there are three major steps to carry out an mutual exchange:

Step 1:

In order to process any mutual exchange in Southwark, you have to be registered with the Home Swapper. If you have not registered, please register via this link:

Step 2

Identify and agree with a mutual exchange. This process is carried out by individuals themselves and not the TMO.

Step 3

Once you have completed both Step 1 & 2, please complete this form if you wish to apply for a mutual exchange and you have an exchange partner.
