After two weeks of door knocking, handing out flyers and generally badgering everyone to vote (not to mention the last three years working hard to get to this point), the polls closed on Monday 17th March at 12pm. By 5pm we had the results. And here they are:
Total votes YES: 156
Total votes NO: 23
So this means that 87% of residents who voted, voted YES to the TMO, with a turnout of nearly 50%. This means that this time next year we will be responsible for services on the Estate.
James Traynor, the chair of the D’Eysford TMO said: “This is great news for the residents of D’Eynsford estate, Camberwell. We look forward to improved services and local control. Thanks to all those who have supported us in this journey so far. The real work starts now!”
Over the next 10 months the board will be working hard to get ready to go live, as well as the building of a new estate office.
